Normally, utility service is connected the next business day following the request for service. If it is necessary to establish service the same day, a convenience fee of $55.00 will be assessed in addition to the normal administrative and connection charges. See the Service Policy for Utility Customers for more information on these and additional fees and charges.

City and State Privilege tax will be assessed on all charges as applicable.

Residential customers requesting to turn on gas service need to be sure the electricity is active the day they would like gas services connected, that an adult over the age of 18 can be present at the time of service connection and that all gas appliances are connected prior to service connection.  The City of Mesa field representative must have access to enter the home to perform a gas pressure test prior to connecting service.  A two- hour appointment window may be requested.
